The benefit of one-to-one coaching is that you have a confidential space and personal support of your leadership coach. This allows you to focus on your needs and your issues, in a way that is often rare in leadership roles and projects. 

The benefits of group coaching is that you develop greater  understand that our issues and problems are often what connect us as human beings. Group coaching overcomes the isolation that can be part of leadership, and is a foundation for a network of peer support. 

For one-to-one leadership coaching sessions, we recommend a minimum of 90 minutes per session. 

We recommend that you meet with your coach at a minimum of once a month. To begin with you may want to meet more frequently (fortnightly) to gain momentum. 

After a while we may only meet when you need specific support on an emerging issue.  This may be a one-off session, or a series of intensive issues to help your resolve the situation. 

With groups, we may meet less frequently, but for longer time together.  Group coaching is usually for 3 hours, and we meet every quarter.  

The outcomes of coaching and development programs varies from client to client. 

In our leadership programs, our clients generally experience an increase in confidence and develop a wider scope of aspirations and goals.  

Our clients report having:

• Greater clarity about their vision and goals
• More confidence to make changes in their life
• Improved communication skills, including with “difficult” people
• Increased focus on tasks and projects, and less avoidance and procrastination
• Wider aspirations, and the courage to pursue new possibilities

At the time of publication, our one-to-one clients were reporting on average an increase in working life satisfaction of 6 pts out of 10. That is, original levels of satisfaction out of 10 (with 10 being he highest) are generally between 2 and 4. At the end of the coaching or program, satisfaction has risen to between 8 and 10.

It is recommended that clients commit at least one hour per week between coaching sessions to for self-reflection, including reviewing goals, actions, and progress to achieve maximum benefit from the coaching relationship.

The outcomes of the program are not guaranteed by Albany Lane Consulting or our coaches, as they are subject to the client’s own goals and ability to act throughout the coaching or program.

We also have experience with working with people with diverse access needs: including people with physical disability, neurodiversity (eg ADHD, dyslexia, autism spectrum disorder), vision-impaired and who are d/Deaf.
